Play an audio story and afterwards have your child & a friend pick the character they liked best & find some clothes around the house for a costume (pillow case for a cape, or a hat). Use an old sheet for a curtain in a doorway & have them make their grand entrance to act out the whole or part of the story!
A fun way to play and stimulate creative thinking is by playing the beginning or half of an audio story and then have each child tell part of the story and then move on to the next child. Or have each child do one sentence based on what was said by the children before him until the story is complete.
A great game for when you go to a park, restaurant or at home. Simply ask your child/ children to close their eyes & describe from memory everything that is around them the best they can. When they are finished they can open their eyes & see what was or wasn’t there!
